Girls Get Math in French, 5 Ave Maris Stella, Summerside, from January 30th to April 24, no session on February 13 (PD day), March 6 (PD day) and 20 (March Break), April 3 (Good Friday) and 10 (PD day)

Girls GET Math After-School Program What’s your relationship with Math? 😍? 👿? 😐? 🥲? 💩? Whatever it is, let’s talk about it! STEAM PEI would love for you to join us for this FREE after school program for some math fun! What will we be doing? Yeah we’ll talk about math, but this is NOT math class. We’ll be having fun exploring how math is all around us through fun activities like making smoothies, quill art, and coding with robots! Who’s it for? Female-identifying students in Grades 5 and 6. Why only for girls? Research indicates that although boys and girls perform equally well in math, girls are less confident in their math abilities. Let's prove them wrong! Peu importe la réponse, parlons-en. STEAM PEI aimerait t'offrir ce programme apr's classe GRATUIT pour s’amuser avec des Maths! Qu'est ce qu'on fera? Oui, on parlera des maths, mais pas comme on fait en classe. On fera des maths à travers de l'art, des smoothies, et des robots. Qui peut participer? Les élèves qui s'identifient comme étant filles; on a seulement 20 places! Pourquoi des filles? Des recherches indiquent quoique les filles et les garçons ont les mêmes habiletés en maths, les filles sont moins confidentes. Prouvons le contraire! Notes pour parents: Ce programme a pour but d'augmenter l'assurance des filles pour les maths. Le programme est gratuit suite au support de PEI Interministerial Women's Secrétariat.
