Description

STEAM PEI is offering an after-school cybersecurity program to provide grade 4 to 6 students with internet security education so that they can better protect themselves when using the internet. The program will focus on cultivating the importance and necessity of cybersecurity, understanding real-life connections to cybersecurity, and becoming involved in fun, creative, cyber activities. Through these activities, students will also learn a bit of code along the way.

What will we be doing?

In this program, students will learn about cybersecurity topics like how to protect their information, spot malware, and how devices connect across networks through hands-on activities with MakeCode and micro:bits.

Who’s it for?

All students in Grades 4 to 6 are welcome. No prior coding knowledge is necessary!

This program is offered free of charge thanks to support by a grant from CIRA's Community Investment Program. Brilliant Labs is also providing support with curriculum and some equipment.

If the program is full, please add your name to the waitlist and we will contact you if a spot opens up.
